We’re looking for an UI Visual Designer who is creative, innovative and an organized thinker with strong attention to detail. You’ll be an important contributor to projects and have a key role in working with our design team on web and mobile layouts, design conversions across multiple devices, and supplementary design requirements throughout the lifecycle of a project, all while developing your skills to become a best-in-class designer.

You’ll be a part of a passionate design team within a culture that values human-insights-led strategy and client empathy over big surprise reveals. You’ll work seamlessly with design leads, content strategists, other visual designers, UX designers, product managers, developers and clients on products and apps that impact businesses, win awards and leave every user feeling loved.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Has a minimum of 4-6 years interactive design experience
  • Intimate knowledge of Photoshop/Sketch and Illustrator
  • Ability to brainstorm and create amazing, innovative conceptual designs
  • Strong understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, and site architecture
  • Solid foundation in typography, layout, and design
  • Comfortable owning projects from the conceptual stage through to production
  • Experience working closely with IA/Dev teams

The ideal person:

  • Has at least 3 years of interactive design experience and has a broad experience working in multiple design disciplines/mediums.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of Sketch.
  • Has a solid foundation in typography, layout, and design.
  • Possesses organizational skills & approach to their work style.
  • Can speak to & value self-organization and can be proactive and self-sufficient.
  • Can speak to & value self-organization and can be proactive and self-sufficient.
  • Is skilled at managing their own workload and ability to handle urgent situations with poise.
  • Is very detail oriented when it comes to working with design consistencies, and has the ability to understand brand essence and appropriately apply style guidelines across multiple elements.
  • Is comfortable working with a design system that is already in place where there are small, frequent UI changes with existing design patterns.
  • Has strong communication skills (written & verbal), in addition to knowing how to manage expectations.
  • Has strong coordination skills, as well as comfort being client facing when needed. Ability to perform with tight turnarounds.
  • Insurance/Finance experience is a plus.
