Independent jeweler (and Brooklyn destination) Catbird has a popular store, a strong social media and press presence, and loyal customers. Next step: capitalizing on skyrocketing luxury ecommerce sales while avoiding a capital-intense store footprint expansion.

Their ecommerce platform required a significant transformation to accomplish their digital goals: translating the brand and store experience online, deepening customer engagement, streamlining decision-making, setting fulfilment expectations, increasing incremental revenue, and improving customer satisfaction.

Jewelry sales face a twofold challenge: compelling photography (to overcome resistance without trying on in store) and SEM (it’s the ultimate impact on purchasing decision).

We helped Catbird choose an ERP for their backend system and then integrated that system with a human-centered redesign of their website. We improved communications as well: giving them the utmost flexibility in determining and varying homepage content, as well as messaging that would appear for inventory status.

Beautifully designed, our site redesign is also very thoughtful, like showing jewelry in context to set expectations about size, allowing easy product configuration, and even including Easter eggs.
