Victor Lombardi is a software designer with over 30 years of experience in a broad array of companies and industries. Since 2013 he has served as a product strategist at Cake & Arrow specializing in designing complex financial systems.

In 2013, Victor wrote the book, Why We Fail: Learning from Experience Design Failures which examines common pitfalls in UX design and offers practical advice on avoiding them.

Victor completed undergraduate studies in journalism at Rutgers University and earned a master’s degree in music technology from New York University. He has taught courses at Rutgers University, The Parsons School of Design, and the Pratt Institute, and serves as an advisor to tech startups. In 2002 he won a Webby award for work with the Southern Poverty Law Center.

After living the first half of his life in New York, he now resides in Hamburg, Germany, and has learned to enjoy cycling in the rain.
